Understanding Social Security: A Look at the Bigger Picture

? If you are going to collect Social Security benefits in the next 10 years you should attend this educational session. In this session, you will learn: The benefits of taking Social Security, when to take benefits- sooner or later?, working while getting benefits- how are the benefits impacted? and taxation and Social Security.

Computer Tutoring

September 17th, 2015, 10:30am to 12:00pm
Work on the computer skills you need to develop with an instructor present to answer questions as needed. Practice using the mouse or typing; search the internet; set-up or use email or Facebook; work on projects using Microsoft Office 2010 products.
Sessions are drop-in, on a first-come first seated basis. Seating is limited, and we encourage you to attend only once a week in order to allow time for others.
Participants are welcome to bring a laptop or tablet from home, in order to practice on their own device.

Teen Volunteer Program; Fall Orientation

High school students interested in earning volunteer hours at the Berwyn Public Library should come to this brief informational meeting to learn about volunteer opportunities at the library, fill out TVP applications and sign-in sheets, and meet other volunteers. Light snacks will be provided.

Return to the Scene of the Crime

Chicago author and historian Rich Lindberg takes his audience on a tour of famous and forgotten Chicago crime scenes spanning 150 years. Based on his locally best-selling book Return to the Scene of the Crime: A Guide to Infamous Places in Chicago, Lindberg will share colorful anecdotes and stories about the Windy City’s lusty, colorful, and often notorious past.

Open Baby Play

Play is an important part of all areas of development in a wee one. Give your baby the benefits of play in a social environment and network with other parents / caregivers in this relaxed, informal environment. For ages 5 months - 24 months; no registration required.

Baby Noise

Music is powerfully positive for little ones and their cognitive growth. We will guide you through simple, fun ways to use music for early learning. Ages 5 months through 24 months.

Family Loteria!

Back by popular demand, it's Loteria!

Loteria, or Mexican bingo, is an old picture based game played by every age. It is especially fun for children! Join us for an evening of fun and snacks as we play. For families/all ages.

Game will be presented bilingually. No Spanish skills needed!
