Cuentos from My Heart: Storytelling for the Whole Familia

September 26th, 2017, 7:00pm to 8:00pm
Happy Hispanic Heritage Month, kids and families!

Celebrated storyteller Jasmin Cardenas will spin stories from personal tales of growing up bi-cultural and bilingual to ancient legends, myths, folktales from North, Central and South America.

She will incorporate music, movement, and elements of dance & visual images for this unique program! All ages/families.

Rising Readers Storytime

October 2nd, 2017, 6:30pm to 7:30pm
For 5 and up.

Storytimes introduce children to the joy of books and develop their early literacy skills with fun, interactive experiences. Sessions run 45-60 minutes and may include stories, rhymes, songs, playtime, word play, or a simple craft.

Read For the Record: Quackers

The first 50 families will get a free copy of "Quackers", by Liz Wong!
On October 19th, 2017, people across the country will unite to read the children’s book Quackers, a quirky story about a cat who thinks he is a duck, in support of Jumpstart’s mission: to work toward the day every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed. Come pick up your copy at the Youth Services desk on Oct. 19th! While supplies last.

Monster Slime Time

October 21st, 2017, 2:30pm to 3:30pm
Ages 7 and up. Create your own icky monster slime at our gooey laboratory! Dress for mess!
