Read For the Record: Bunny Cakes

The first 75 families will get a free copy of Bunny Cakes!
On October 21st, 2014, people across the country will unite to read the children’s book Bunny Cakes, a comical story of siblings and birthday shenanigans, in support of Jumpstart’s mission: to work toward the day every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed. Come pick up your copy at the Youth Services desk on Oct. 21st!

2 Year Old Story Time

Story Time aims to introduce children to the world of books and reading with fun, interactive experiences in a safe environment. Sessions can run from 30 to 45 minutes and may include stories, rhymes, songs, playtime, finger plays and a simple craft activity.

4-7 Year Old Spanish Storytime

October 21st, 2014, 4:30pm to 5:15pm
Join Miss Brigida for a Spanish/English story time experience!

Story Time aims to introduce children to the world of books and reading with fun, interactive experiences in a safe environment. Sessions can run from 30 to 45 minutes and may include stories, rhymes, songs, playtime, finger plays and a simple craft activity.

Computer Tutoring

October 21st, 2014, 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Work on the computer skills you need to develop with an instructor present to answer questions as needed. Practice using the mouse or typing; search the internet; set-up or use email or Facebook; work on projects using Microsoft Office 2010 products.
Sessions are drop-in, on a first-come first seated basis. Seating is limited, and we encourage you to attend only once a week in order to allow time for others.
Participants are welcome to bring a laptop or tablet from home, in order to practice on their own device.

Senior Social Club

Intended as a special time for patrons age 55+ to have fun and socialize with friends, the program is open to seniors from all communities, and no registration is required.

STEAM Punks

October 22nd, 2014, 4:30pm to 5:30pm
STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Join us once a month for a fun and challenging activity. Explore physics and simple machines with “Real-life Angry Birds!” Study chemistry with “Candy Chromatography!”

Open Baby Play
