5-9 Year Old Story Time

Story Time aims to introduce children to the world of books and reading with fun, interactive experiences in a safe environment. Sessions can run from 30 to 45 minutes and may include stories, rhymes, playtime, songs, finger plays and a simple craft activity.

If You Give a Pig a Party!

All the friends from the If You Give a Mouse a Cookie series by Laura Numeroff are partying big with games, snacks, and fun at this year’s Children Book Week party. Drop in at the Youth Services desk, no registration necessary.

Computer Tutoring

Work on the computer skills you need to develop with an instructor present to answer questions as needed. Practice using the mouse or typing; search the internet; set-up or use email or Facebook; work on projects using Microsoft Office 2010 products.
Sessions are drop-in, on a first-come first seated basis. Seating is limited, and we encourage you to attend only once a week in order to allow time for others.
Participants are welcome to bring a laptop or tablet from home, in order to practice on their own device.

GED Study Group

Improve math or writing for placement tests like the GED, Accuplacer, and more. Or, just brush up on the basics for self-improvement.

4-7 Year Old Spanish Storytime

Basic Writing (Project CARE)

Learn grammar, spelling, and punctuation (from the beginning) in this drop-in study group. Practice writing messages, filling out applications, and much more. Start anytime!

A Fairy Fun Puppet Show

Our Youth Volunteers have written their own fairy tale-inspired plays that they will perform themselves! Meet us in the Primary Room for the fun!

ESL Beginner Speaking

Practice makes perfect! This ESL study group is for beginner and intermediate adult learners who want to improve English listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students at a very high level might find personal tutoring more helpful, but everyone is welcome to try the group to see if they like it.
