Anime Mondays

October 20th, 2014, 4:30pm to 5:30pm
Much of the manga in the Teen Collection has been made into animated television series and full-length films. Every Monday, we will show either an episode from a featured anime series or an animated film.

Read For the Record: Bunny Cakes

October 21st, 2014 (All day)
The first 75 families will get a free copy of Bunny Cakes!
On October 21st, 2014, people across the country will unite to read the children’s book Bunny Cakes, a comical story of siblings and birthday shenanigans, in support of Jumpstart’s mission: to work toward the day every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed. Come pick up your copy at the Youth Services desk on Oct. 21st!

Computer Tutoring

October 21st, 2014, 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Work on the computer skills you need to develop with an instructor present to answer questions as needed. Practice using the mouse or typing; search the internet; set-up or use email or Facebook; work on projects using Microsoft Office 2010 products.
Sessions are drop-in, on a first-come first seated basis. Seating is limited, and we encourage you to attend only once a week in order to allow time for others.
Participants are welcome to bring a laptop or tablet from home, in order to practice on their own device.

Senior Social Club

Intended as a special time for patrons age 55+ to have fun and socialize with friends, the program is open to seniors from all communities, and no registration is required.

STEAM Punks

October 22nd, 2014, 4:30pm to 5:30pm
STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Join us once a month for a fun and challenging activity. Explore physics and simple machines with “Real-life Angry Birds!” Study chemistry with “Candy Chromatography!”

Family Game Night

October 22nd, 2014, 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Due to popular demand – Family Game Night is back! Bring your family to the Library for a fun night of board games, puzzles and more. Everyone who participates gets a free book at the end of the evening. This program is for families with children ages 3-17.

Throwback Thursdays

You've all heard people say "the book was better..." Find out for yourself! As we feature a different book-made-into-a-movie each month. Read the book. Watch the movie. Discuss both! And don't worry; we'll bring the popcorn!
