Friends of the Library Week Author Event

October 22nd, 2016,
2:00pm to 4:00pm
In celebration of Friends of the Library Week 2016 (October 16 - 22), Geralyn Hesslau McGrady, Berwyn resident and 2016 winner of the Soon to be Famous Illinois Author contest, will read from her award-winning novel, Lines. Geralyn will share how her genealogical research evolved into the story of Livia Haas and her family’s struggles in 1870s Chicago. She will also discuss her experience as a Soon to be Famous contest participant and winner. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing by the author.

Family Loteria!

Back by popular demand, it's Loteria!

Loteria, or Mexican bingo, is an old picture based game played by every age. It is especially fun for children! Join us for an evening of fun and snacks as we play. For families/all ages.

Game will be presented bilingually. No Spanish skills needed!


Registration is not required.

Haunted Trails Pizza Party - 5:30pm Seating

5:30pm to 6:30pm
Congratulations to the children who completed their summer reading logs! You are invited to join us at Haunted Trails for a pizza party. Free pizza and pop will be given to summer reading finishers. Each adult or child who did not finish the program may purchase pizza and pop for $3.00. Tokens will be available at a discount. Chose at seating of either 5:30pm or 6:30pm and call or stop in at the Youth Services desk to register.
