Baby Noise

Music is powerfully positive for little ones and their cognitive growth. We will guide you through simple, fun ways to use music for early learning. Ages 0 months through 24 months.

Pre-Civil War Quilts: The Hidden Codes to Freedom

During this presentation, Connie Martin will illustrate some Pre-Civil War quilts and their significance to the freedom of the slaves through the Underground Railroad. The stories surrounding the secret messages in quilts are rich in American culture. Replicas of actual quilts that slaves used on their journey will be displayed and the meanings behind the different patterns will be discussed.
