Spring Tea Party

Ages 4-10.
Don your dressy best, boys and girls! Sip tea and celebrate spring with your grown-up as you make crafts, enjoy snacks, and hear stories for our 9th annual tea party.

Interview Workshop for Teens

April 30th, 2018, 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Bob Shclacks has experience that includes working for over 20 years in Human Resources at AT&T in the Lisle –Naperville area, 11 years with Waubonsee Community College as the adult recruiter in the Admissions department, and has conducted adult workshops twice a month for over 15 years at the Illinois Worknet in North Aurora.

Bob Schlacks motto for teens looking for a job is: “Entry-level” does not mean “Unimportant!”

Spring Into Jazz

April 21st, 2018, 2:00pm to 3:30pm
April is Jazz Appreciation Month. Join us and enjoy The Pharlis James Trio, who will perform a variety of delightful musical selections made famous by such notable artists as Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis, Bobby Darin, and many more. Reminisce, sing along and pop your fingers to the music that lives on and on.

Totally Untidy Toddlers

April 7th, 2018, 10:30am to 11:30am
Ages 6 months - 3 years
Squish and smush your way to the benefits of messy play with us! Edible goo, rainbow spaghetti, and lots of other sensory experiences will be available for the fun. An adult must accompany the toddler. Come dressed for mess.

Science Sunday -- PWS: From Bedside to Bench and Back to Bedside

Dr. Lara Pullen, who has a son with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS), tells for the first time the story of how she identified a novel drug (Pitolisant) to treat this devastating genetic syndrome. She will describe the horrifying, yet intriguing, symptom of cataplexy and its dramatic impact on her son.
