Open House

October 25th, 2016,
3:00pm to 5:00pm
To better serve the Berwyn community, the Library underwent renovations during July and August 2016 to switch the locations of the Youth Services Department and the Audio Visual Department.
You are invited to help us celebrate and dedicate!
Join us during the Open House for special guest speaker Mayor Robert Lovero and a dedication of the new Youth Services Department by Kathi Behrendt. Enjoy performances by storyteller Oba William King and a bilingual show by Berwyn’s own Planet Circus! Several Berwyn restaurants will provide us with light refreshments.

A Christmas Carol

December 3rd, 2016,
2:00pm to 3:30pm
In this storytelling lecture, William Pack first relates the curious origins behind one of the most popular stories ever written, Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Then, using a script derived from Dickens’ only existing abridged reading copy, William will perform a reading of A Christmas Carol enhanced with a modern recreation of a magic lanternslide show popular during Dickens’ lifetime.
