Join us for a special event with Nicole Wingate, Employment Specialist from the Goodwill Workforce Connection Center of North Riverside, onsite providing a workshop on current and future trends in the workforce job market, general job search assistance and one-on-one consultations. Basic Technology Skills - CANCELLED TODAY

Work on the computer skills you need to develop with an instructor present to answer questions as needed. Learn to use the smartphone or tablet you recently acquired. Practice using the mouse or typing; search the internet; set-up or use email or Facebook; work on projects using Microsoft Office 2010 products. Sessions are drop-in, on a first-come first seated basis. Seating is limited, and we encourage you to attend only once a week in order to allow time for others. Participants are welcome to bring a laptop or tablet from home, in order to practice on their own device.

Louisa May Alcott: The 150th Anniversary of Little Women

In 2018, Little Women turns 150 years old. Mark the occasion with this newly revised living-history portrayal of beloved author Louisa May Alcott by award-winning actress Leslie Goddard. As Miss Alcott shares stories about the creation of Little Women, she also reminisces about her life, including her poverty-stricken childhood, her struggles to succeed as a writer, and the unexpected, phenomenal success of Little Women in 1868.​

Picasso Picasso & Paris: a Salon with Gertrude Stein

Join us for this performance adapted and performed by Betsey Means. Gertrude Stein (1874-1946) was an American author and poet best known for her modernist writings, extensive art collecting and literary salon in 1920s Paris. For some 40 years, the Stein home at 27 rue de Fleurus on the Left Bank of Paris was a renowned Saturday evening gathering place for both expatriate American artists and writers and others noteworthy in the world of vanguard arts of letters, most notably Pablo Picasso.
