Responding to COVID-19

Current — Open! Restrictions apply.

Reduced hours of == Mon-Thu 9-7 == Fri-Sat 9-5 == closed Sunday == remain in effect until further notice.

Curbside Pickup, offered since June 3, will remain a service indefinitely.

Currently, a limit of 50 patrons total at one time is in effect. No age restrictions.  No appointments necessary or available.  If the building is at capacity, you may be asked to wait outside until someone leaves.

All staff and patrons (over the age of 2) are required to maintain properly worn face coverings at all times, and six-feet of social distancing is encouraged both near service desks and in the aisles.

The number of computers available has been reduced to accommodate social distancing, and 90 minute time limits apply.

Staff has developed a schedule of increased frequency in cleaning and sanitizing high touch surfaces. Hand sanitizing stations are placed throughout the building for your convenience.  Furniture has been removed throughout the building to encourage social distancing, and the Youth Services play areas have been put away until further notice.

Returning Items:  The outside book return is open again, and the big canvas bins will be used inside.  Items will remain quarantined for a minimum of 72 hours before being checked in, as they have been.  Until further notice, no overdue fines are being charged.

Berwyn residents – still more comfortable staying outside the library, and need a library card to use Streaming or Curbside?  Click here for a temporary card number.  Please note that we are temporarily expanding Home Delivery Service options to accommodate at-risk populations.

Due to COVID-19, the library is NOT accepting donations at this time.

Thank you!
