Are you looking for a place to volunteer?

The Berwyn Public Library offers volunteer opportunities for middle school students, teens, and adults.

Adult Volunteer Program

Court-ordered Community Service

Adults who are residents of Berwyn and have court ordered community service hours to complete can apply to complete some or all hours at the library. Court Ordered Volunteers can work a max of 12 hours per week for 2-4 hour shifts per day. The library is not obligated to provide any or all of the community service hours needed.

Adult Volunteer Program

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Berwyn Public Library. We do not have general adult volunteer opportunities at this time.

The Berwyn Public Library works with Project CARE to provide free tutoring to adults wanting to learn English or study for the US citizenship exam.

Free training is provided by Project CARE. If you are interested in learning more, contact Rebecca Angevine, Project CARE coordinator, by email rebecca.angevine@morton.edu or by phone (708) 656-8000 ext. 2364.

Middle School Volunteer Program

We are grateful that you are interested in volunteering at the library!

Our Middle School Volunteers work closely with members of staff to perform simple tasks that make our Youth Services Department shine. This could include anything from sanitizing toys to organizing craft supplies to packing up crafts kits for the kids.

No matter what the task, we will do our best to make your volunteering experience positive and create any accommodations you might need.

It is important that you fill out all sections of this form. We need an emergency contact, so please make sure that the parent/guardian phone number is correct.

You will be contacted by email, so please use an email address that you check frequently.
If you have any questions, please contact Youth Services at youthservices@berwynlibrary.org , or call (708) 795-8000 ext. 3088.
