Join the Teen Advisory Committee

We are looking for two high school age teens to serve as the Teen Advisory Committee for the Friends of the Berwyn Library (FOBL)! The Teen Advisory Committee members will serve a one-year term from July 2022 through June 2023.

Benefits of Being a FOBL Teen Advisor

What FOBL Teen Advisors Do

  • Attend and being actively involved in at least 9 out of 12 Friends of the Berwyn Library meetings
  • Complete at least 40 hours of service in addition to the meetings – this can include but is not limited to:
    • Helping the library at community events
    • Helping the library at library events
    • Maintaining and updating the library’s Story Walk
    • Assisting with the Friends of the Berwyn Library book sale

How to Become a FOBL Teen Advisor

  • Bilingual skills preferred
  • Send a one to two page letter explaining why you want to join, and a resume or other document outlining your academic, extra-curricular, and work history (if any)
  • Application materials are due Friday, May 20th and must be sent to Hannah Rapp (hrapp@berwynlibrary.org) or dropped off at the Central Desk on the first floor of the library
