Berwyn Pride

Celebrate Pride!

June is Pride Month, when we honor the past, present, and future of the LGBTQIAP+ community. Pride marches and events have been held by local communities since 1970, but in 1999, President Clinton nationally proclaimed June as Gay and Lesbian Pride Month in remembrance of the Stonewall Riots in 1969. President Obama proclaimed the celebration as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month in 2009, and President Biden proclaimed it as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Month in 2021.
We take pride in our Berwyn LGBTQIAP+ community, and wish the community a Happy Pride!
