Get a Card

Residents 13 and under must have a parent or legal guardian present to get a card. To receive a card for the first time, you must show one current document from each column below.


Government issued photo ID
(state or federal)
High school issued photo ID
(must be current school year)


Lease or mortgage
Utility bill or bank statement
First class mail
Car registration or insurance

If you don't have a document from the residence column above, you may choose to verify your residency by having the library card mailed to you instead. Library cards will not be mailed to a PO Box. On the day a mailed card is issued, you may check out up to 2 print items.

Museum Adventure Pass

Use your library card to receive free admission or a special discount at Chicago area cultural destinations. Adult Berwyn Library cardholders are eligible to receive a pass to one museum each week, subject to availability.
