Remembering Lulu

December 2020 - The End of an Era

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Lulu, our beloved library guinea pig.  For seven years, since her "Gotcha Day" of November 19, 2013 until December 31, 2020, this cavy princess filled our lives with her special brand of sassy sweetness.

Lulu had a life full of adventure, affection, stories, and love. Children small and grown loved Lulu deeply, sometimes coming in to the library simply to say hi to her.  She will be dearly missed. Rest in peace, sweet pig.

We understand that Lulu's passing may be your child's first experience with death. To help start or facilitate this difficult conversation with your child, we recommend the books below.
